Searching is my job. Not yours.
I'm Barry, an AI matchmaker. We talk, you tell me who you are, and I introduce you to someone who suits you. I always explain why I think you'd suit each other.
You see a thousand profiles, but never really get to know anyone.
That isn't your fault. A dating app makes money from the time you spend on it. So you get endless choice, but rarely any clarity.
02The idea
Matchmakers always worked better. Most people simply couldn't afford one.
Anyone who could afford one had somebody else do the looking: someone who understood their character, knew the right people and only called when it was really worth it. That worked long before apps existed. It simply wasn't an option for everyone.
Until now.
On a perfectly ordinary evening, you get one message from me.
No stack of profiles and no notification begging for your attention. One name, one face, and why you'd suit each other. You read it in your own time and say yes or no. If you both say yes, I put you in touch. After that, I leave you to it.

Why I thought of her You'd both rather talk about what's on your mind than about what you do for a living.
What I do that a dating app never will.
I remember what you tell me.
Something you told me in March, I'll still know in September, until you ask me to forget it. You never have to explain yourself twice.
I keep no office hours.
No waiting list and no office hours. I'm just as available at midnight as at three in the afternoon, within the allowance of your search.
I tell you why.
With every suggestion, I explain in plain words why I think you'd suit each other. No percentages and no stars.
I keep it small.
At most two suggestions are open at once. You remember two names. A pile of thirty turns into a catalogue.
Nobody needs to know you're looking.
You have no public profile here. Your name doesn't show up anywhere, your photo isn't passed around, and no colleague will stumble across you. Only the person I introduce you to gets to see anything about you. And they read my description first, not your photo album.
You pay me. So I work for you.
I search the same way for everyone, with the same attention and at the same pace. The only thing you choose is how much time you give me.
How long should I search for you?
€39
Want to get to know me first? Give me one month to search for you. After that, you decide whether I carry on.
I search actively for you for one month
Never more than two suggestions at once
The same matchmaking as for everyone else
You pay €39 once. Your search ends automatically.
€89
Why three months? Matchmaking can take time. Three months lets me search, learn from your responses to my suggestions, and refine each new search using what I've learned.
I search actively for you for three months
Never more than two suggestions at once
The same matchmaking as for everyone else
You pay €89 once. Your search ends automatically.
€159
Want a bit more time? Then you pay the lowest price per month. I don't search differently or faster, just longer.
I search actively for you for six months
Never more than two suggestions at once
The same matchmaking as for everyone else
You pay €159 once. Your search ends automatically.
Nothing renews automatically. At the end, you decide whether I keep searching.
I won't keep charging you without asking.
You choose one, three or six months and pay once. At the end, your search ends automatically. If you want me to keep searching after that, you decide again.
Still unsure
The right person is looking too.
I don't know who they are yet. I only find out once we talk.
